This is going to be a quickie. Truly. I’m with immediate family in Grand Cayman having such fun so squeezing in blog time is tricky. But I have a couple of my pastels to show you.
I brought them down for Kennedy Gallery as they had sold some pieces recently (always great to hear!). Also hoping to do some work while I’m here but hmmmm…. I can see that’s going to take a commitment as family merriment is far too distracting!
Both pastels were 90% done en plein air a couple of years ago. They have been sitting in my studio waiting to be tweaked and set free in the world. Needing new work for my Grand Cayman gallery was the perfect motivation to finish them.
I shot these photos before I’d actually signed the pastels so I’m not even sure if they are the final final version. But close enough I think.
And that’s all she wrote. Told you it was going to be short.
Hoping I’ll have a post for you on work by local artists in my next blog. In the meantime, live – love – laugh, that’s what we’re doing!!
