Daily Painting I set up a sampling of vegetables for my acrylic painting class to paint (see my blog about the class) and my eye was taken by the contrast between the almost black poblano pepper and the white of the garlic. I had my next daily painting subject!
Hola! I thought for a change I’d show you my gallery here in La Manzanilla, Mexico and some of the work of artists it represents. I started at Galeria La Manzanilla in 2009 when Silver Mangini owned it. Over the period I was having my first solo show with the gallery in February/March 2011,
Daily Painting So I’m on my third daily painting of eyeglasses. (You can see the first one here and the second one here.) I guess a book was going to be the obvious accompaniment eventually and so sure enough, that’s what’s here – the book I’m reading at the moment, The Madonnas of Leningrad.
Daily Painting I can hardly believe I’ve been here in La Manzanilla, Mexico just over a week. Time does fly. I’ve been pastelling and have another daily painting to show you. I do like the eyeglasses as a subject (see my previous blog). I changed the surface on which they rested as well
Saludos from La Manzanilla! As delightful as it is here – sunny and warm, lovely people, beautiful long beach with hardly anyone on it – I have committed to pastel/draw/paint every day. I am determined to continue exploring new directions in my work as well as creating daily paintings. I have a box
