I am excited about my new video, “Pastel Painting Tip – toning Wallis paper.” It’s a first in a series I plan to do that are short and give one great tip for pastel artists. So I’d love any ideas for more videos. Do you have any questions about pastels or pastelling? Bring ’em on! Please leave a comment below.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that I have set myself a 30-day challenge of doing a self-portrait sketch every day. I am now about 12 sketches in. If you are on Facebook, check them out on my page (www.facebook.com/GailSibleyArtist) by clicking here. I’ve been posting each and every one, no matter how disappointing they may be (“can I still draw?’ I have been asking myself). When I’m done the 30 days, I’ll do a blog on the experience and include some of the more interesting sketches.
And do you know what? That’s it!!! Truly. A record I’d say. This must be my shortest blog ever. Not to worry, the next will be longer as I talk about a well-known painting from many years ago.
Thanks so much for being here,
~ Gail

well done have many questions will keep till we meet you appear very comfortable in this media.
Thanks Sandy. Look forward to your questions.
That is really so interesting and I never knew you could do that on pastel paper. It gives you such a head start in planning your painting.
I’m glad it was so worthwhile doing the video! And yes, it gives a lovely colour surface to start working on.
